Read from PALOMA's booking store on 14 September 2026. Confirm the current price and availability in Zenoti before you tell a guest — these move.
ARRIVE — static touch, several deep breaths, silence. Let her land before you begin.
WORK — the service itself. Re-drape as you move; warmth is part of the experience.
CLOSE — deep breaths with gentle compressive movements. Re-drape fully. The chime.
FOLLOW UP — the Recommendation Form. Water. Say something specific.
Taught in the Academy →Deep tissue. Medium to firm pressure with deep friction and kneading.
May include trigger point work, deep friction or joint movement, depending on the therapist.
The menu states plainly that it is not recommended for massage first-timers.
Family: RESTORATIVE.
Against The Paloma: the same shape at a completely different intensity, and the therapist has more technique available. Against Clear the Path: deep tissue works muscle; myofascial work targets connective tissue.
Taught in the Academy →Work rather than rest. Guests who want this know they want it.
Step 1 Opening Ritual • 1 min
Invite several deep breaths as you apply static touch to the shoulders.
Step 2 Deep Tissue Techniques • 3–8 min per area
Apply deep friction and kneading to each area of the body. Work slowly and with intention.
Always begin with superficial work, progress to depth, then return to superficial before moving to the next area. This sequence reduces protective guarding.
Work in a slower manner than Swedish — speed heightens neural sensitivity and creates resistance in chronically inflamed tissue.
Spend additional time on areas the guest identifies at intake as chronically tight or painful.
Step 3 Closing Ritual • 1 min
Guide several deep breaths with compressive elongation. Re-drape fully.
Conclude with the energy-balancing chime.
Step 4 Guest Follow-Up • 1–3 min
Complete Recommendation Form and offer water.
Retail Suggestions: EIR Warming Massage Oil, EIR Topical Balm.
Service Suggestions: Sauna, upgrade to The Higher Realm Deep Tissue (adds CBD).
Superficial → deep → superficial. Every area. This is the foundation of effective deep tissue work.
Guest verbalization is essential — check in throughout the session. Deep tissue is not something you do to a guest; it is something you do with them.
Guests with disc issues require modified lumbar work. Clarify at intake. When in doubt, work superficially.
The Power is the natural upgrade path to The Higher Realm Deep Tissue (CBD). Recommend it to any guest who asks for 'more.'
Post-session soreness is normal. Tell the guest to expect it, hydrate well, and that the results will be felt within 24–72 hours.
Unrefined Coconut Oil
For deep tissue work, coconut oil provides the right balance of friction and glide. It allows the therapist to feel the tissue clearly — not too slippery, not too dry — which is essential for deep friction, cross-fiber work, and sustained pressure into chronically held areas.
Saturated Fatty Acids — Create the controlled friction needed for deep tissue technique — enough glide for effleurage, enough resistance for deep kneading and cross-fiber work
Lauric Acid — Anti-inflammatory at the skin level; helps counteract the localized redness and surface sensitivity that deep work can create
Medium-Chain Triglycerides — Absorb quickly so the oil doesn't accumulate and over-lubricate during longer, deeper sessions
History of or current Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Pregnancy
Injury within 48 hours of the session
Spondylolysis, degenerative disc disease, bulging or herniated disc — deep lumbar work may exacerbate these conditions
