The shape

ARRIVE — static touch, several deep breaths, silence. Let her land before you begin.

WORK — the service itself. Re-drape as you move; warmth is part of the experience.

CLOSE — deep breaths with gentle compressive movements. Re-drape fully. The chime.

FOLLOW UP — the Recommendation Form. Water. Say something specific.

What it is

A CBD massage on the deep-tissue shape — CBD-infused oil, a targeted CBD topical, and a CBD edible included as part of the service.

The edible is part of THIS service. It is not the same thing as the separate CBD enhancement you can add to other services — keep those two apart when you talk about them.

Against the Swedish variant: the same additions, different work.

⚠ The menu labels BOTH CBD variants 'Our #1 massage'. Unresolved — catalogue and copy.

What it feels like

Familiar, with more going on around it. The CBD elements are the part guests notice.

Protocol

Step 1 Pre-Session • before table

Confirm the guest has received their CBD edibles at consultation. Required step — do not skip.

Step 2 Opening Ritual • 1 min

Invite several deep breaths as you apply static touch to the shoulders.

Step 3 Deep Tissue Techniques + CBD • 3–8 min per area

Apply CBD signature oil and begin with deep friction and kneading to each body area.

Always start superficial, move deeper, then return to superficial. This primes the tissue and prevents guarding.

Work in a slower, deliberate manner — speed heightens the nervous system's sensitivity to deep pressure.

Apply CBD topical to areas of concern, inflammation, or maximum tension. Let it absorb before working that area directly.

Spend sufficient time on areas the guest identifies as painful or chronically tight at intake.

Step 4 Closing Ritual • 1 min

Guide several deep breaths with compressive movements to elongate the worked tissue. Re-drape fully.

Offer post-session CBD edible. Conclude with the energy-balancing chime.

Step 5 Guest Follow-Up • 1–3 min

Complete Recommendation Form and offer water.

Retail Suggestions: Vertly Bath Salts, Mary's Muscle Freeze.

Service Suggestions: Sauna, The Grounding Stone.

Therapist reminders

Superficial → deep → superficial. Every time. This sequence is non-negotiable in deep tissue work.

Slower pressure is more effective and more tolerable than fast, forceful pressure in inflamed tissue.

CBD is not a substitute for proper deep tissue technique — it's a complement. Your hands are still doing the work.

Never exceed the guest's comfort threshold. Check in verbally throughout — deep tissue requires ongoing consent.

Edibles before the session. Confirm this at greeting, not mid-session.

Products

Signature CBD Massage Oil (Black)

Same formulation as The Higher Realm Swedish — hemp-derived CBD in a lightweight carrier. In the deep tissue context, the oil's transdermal CBD delivery is particularly valuable: it reduces the inflammatory response in targeted tissue, allowing the therapist to work into the muscle without causing additional irritation.

CBD Topical Treatment — Cooling or Warming (½–1 tsp)

Critical component of this service. Applied to the most inflamed or guarded areas before or after deep tissue work — CBD reaches those tissues with concentrated anti-inflammatory effect. Use cooling for hot, inflamed joints; warming for tight, chronically contracted muscles.

CBD Edibles (2 complimentary)

The systemic delivery mechanism — edibles provide CBD to tissues the topical cannot reach. The pre-session edible begins working during the massage, reducing the body's overall inflammatory load and allowing deeper relaxation. The post-session edible continues the repair process for hours after the guest leaves.

What is in them

CBD (Cannabidiol) — Anti-inflammatory and analgesic at the cellular level — reduces the inflammatory markers that make deep tissue work uncomfortable; allows more effective work on chronically tense areas without aggravating them

Hemp-Derived Terpenes — In full-spectrum formulas, myrcene (sedating) and beta-caryophyllene (anti-inflammatory) contribute additional pain-modulating and calming effects

Carrier Oil Base — Provides the necessary glide for deep tissue techniques while keeping CBD in sustained skin contact for maximum absorption

What we say about it

“Deep tissue doesn't have to hurt to work. CBD allows me to work into your tissue more effectively because your body isn't fighting the inflammation anymore.”

“The edibles are working systemically — they're reaching the areas I can't get to with my hands, including your joints and connective tissue.”

“If you have a specific area of chronic pain, tell me at the start. I'll apply the CBD topical there directly before I work it.”

“You may feel the effects of this session for 24–72 hours as your body continues to process the work.”

“Always reference PALOMA's CBD informational sheet for any guest questions beyond the basics.”
