The shape

ARRIVE — static touch, several deep breaths, silence. Let her land before you begin.

WORK — the service itself. Re-drape as you move; warmth is part of the experience.

CLOSE — deep breaths with gentle compressive movements. Re-drape fully. The chime.

FOLLOW UP — the Recommendation Form. Water. Say something specific.

What it is

Salt stone massage. Warmed Himalayan salt stones used through the service.

Family: RELAXING.

Against The Paloma: heat, and the stones themselves. Against The Power: an alternative for a guest carrying tension who does not want deep tissue — the menu positions it exactly that way.

What it feels like

Warm and heavy in a way that is hard to describe until it happens. The stones are the thing guests remember.

Protocol

Step 1 Opening Ritual • 1 min

Inform the guest at consultation to verbalize any discomfort or excessive heat from the stones at any point.

Invite several deep breaths as you apply static touch to the shoulders.

Step 2 Swedish + Salt Stone Techniques • 3–8 min per area

Apply Swedish techniques in long, fluid movements. Effleurage and gliding are the foundation.

Use the heated stones to warm the tissue first, then work with hands, then return to stones. This sequence allows penetration into deeper muscular layers without forcing pressure.

Re-drape each area after working it to preserve warmth and the therapeutic benefit of heat.

Step 3 Closing Ritual • 1 min

Guide several deep breaths with gentle compressive movements to elongate the tissue.

Re-drape fully. Conclude with the energy-balancing chime.

Step 4 Guest Follow-Up • 1–3 min

Complete the Recommendation Form and offer water.

Retail Suggestions: All-over body oil, body brush.

Service Suggestions: Meditation, Sauna, upgrade to The Grounding Stone (CBD version).

Therapist reminders

Always test stone temperature on yourself before applying to the guest — every guest's heat tolerance is different.

The stone sequence (warm with stone → work with hands → return to stone) is the key to this service's depth. Don't skip it.

Never leave a stationary stone on bare skin without a cloth barrier.

This service is the natural upgrade to The Grounding Stone (adds CBD). Plant that seed during follow-up.

Himalayan salt's benefits for eczema and psoriasis are a meaningful talking point — use it when relevant.

Products

Himalayan Pink Salt Stones

These hand-carved stones are 100% pure Himalayan pink salt — formed over 250 million years under immense geological pressure deep within the Himalayan mountain range. Their distinctive pink color comes from a rich trace mineral profile unmatched by ordinary salts. Unlike the drying effect of table salt, Himalayan salt is naturally hydrating and restorative to the skin, making it uniquely suited for use in massage.

Coconut Oil

Used as the massage medium between stone passes. Creates the gliding surface that allows both hands and stones to move fluidly across the body.

What is in them

84+ Trace Minerals — Including calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, iodine, copper, manganese, zinc, and selenium — minerals the body loses during exercise and stress, delivered through the skin during massage

Magnesium — Deeply relaxing to muscle tissue; helps regulate the nervous system; absorbed transdermally during warm stone contact

Iodine — Naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal; cleanses the skin's surface with every pass of the stone

Potassium — Balances moisture at the cellular level; helps counteract puffiness and water retention

Iron Oxide — Gives the stone its pink color; supports oxygen transport and circulation — both in the stone's formation and in the skin's response to heat

Natural Hygroscopic Properties — Himalayan salt draws moisture from the air and locks it into the skin — unlike table salt, which is drying, these stones leave skin soft and hydrated

Contraindications

History of or current Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

Pregnancy

Injury within 48 hours of the session

Heat sensitivity of any kind

Allergy to Himalayan salt

What we say about it

“These stones were formed 250 million years ago — what you're feeling is some of the purest mineral-rich salt on earth.”

“Himalayan salt is uniquely hydrating — it actually draws moisture into the skin rather than pulling it out like ordinary salt.”

“The heat from the stones allows me to release tension in the deeper layers of muscle without needing to use deep pressure.”

“Himalayan salt has documented benefits for eczema, psoriasis, and dry, reactive skin — the minerals are absorbed through the skin during your session.”

“After your session, your skin should feel noticeably softer — that's the mineral deposit at work.”

Sanitation

Validation scheduled after launch

Sanitation is demonstrated by your LMT Trainer. Do not improvise a procedure.

Stone safety

Stone warming protocol

Place stones in the insulated warming bag. Cover with the warming bag cover. Plug in and heat before session begins. Use 6–10 stones maximum per session.

Always test stone temperature on your own inner wrist before applying to guest. A stone that feels warm to you may feel hot on a guest's back or legs.

Stationary stones must never rest directly on bare skin. Use the sheet or a folded hand towel as a barrier between a resting stone and the guest's body.
