What Is The Dome?

The Dome is PALOMA's dedicated group wellness space — a sanctuary separate from our treatment rooms, designed intentionally for community, ceremony, and collective healing. It is the physical embodiment of our second pillar: The Dome.

Three Pillars of PALOMA:

🌿 The Spa — Individual treatments and massage

🔮 The Dome — Group ceremonies and collective experiences

🛍️ Retail — Curated wellness products and daily ritual tools

The Dome hosts intimate group experiences facilitated by PALOMA's own meditation instructors. These events range from 4–20 guests and are held throughout the year on a flexible, advance-published schedule. Unlike our treatment rooms (where guests receive individual attention), the dome creates a shared sacred space where guests experience healing together — whether through sound vibrations, lunar ceremony, breathwork, or seasonal intention-setting.

The dome is not a luxury amenity to mention casually. It is a cornerstone of what makes PALOMA distinct in the wellness landscape. Your role as front-desk staff is to actively and warmly promote the dome schedule to every guest who visits, especially those who are drawn to meditation, mindfulness, spiritual practice, or deeper rest.

Your Mindset: The dome experiences are not extras. They are core to PALOMA's mission. Every guest should leave with awareness of what's available — and curiosity to return for an experience beyond individual treatment.

The Five Dome Event Types

Each dome experience serves a unique purpose and attracts different guests. Below is a detailed breakdown of each event type so you can speak authentically about them and match them to guest interests.

What It Is

A Sound Bath is a live, full-body immersion in the healing vibrations of crystal alchemy singing bowls. Guests lie in a comfortable, supported position while our meditation instructor plays large crystalline bowls, creating rich, enveloping sound waves that move through the body and nervous system. It is a completely non-physical, fully passive experience — no movement required, no prior experience necessary.

What Guests Experience

Guests arrive, remove their shoes, and settle onto yoga mats or blankets in a warm, dimly lit space. As the bowls begin to sing, they feel the vibrations travel through their body — some experience tingling, subtle movement of energy, or deep physical relaxation. Most guests enter a profoundly meditative state, often drifting between wakefulness and sleep. The experience ends with gentle transition music and several minutes of silence before guests are slowly invited back to awareness. Many guests report feeling lighter, clearer, deeply rested, or emotionally moved.

Perfect For

Guests seeking rest and nervous system reset • Anyone new to meditation or sound work • Guests with chronic stress, anxiety, or sleep issues • Busy professionals needing radical pause

What to Say

"Have you heard of a sound bath? It's actually one of my favorite things we offer here at PALOMA. You lie down fully clothed on a mat, and our instructor plays these beautiful crystal bowls — the vibrations just flow through your whole body. It's completely relaxing. A lot of our guests say it's the deepest rest they've felt in months. No experience necessary — you just show up and receive."

What It Is

A Full Moon Ceremony is a group ritual timed to the lunar full moon — a time traditionally associated with culmination, release, illumination, and reflection. Our meditation instructor creates a guided experience that may include breathwork, sound healing, intention-setting, guided reflection, and ritual elements. The full moon amplifies energy and invites guests to let go of what no longer serves them and step into clarity.

What Guests Experience

Guests gather in circle in the dome, often seated on cushions. The facilitator guides them through calming breathwork to arrive in their bodies, then leads a journey of reflection — often inviting guests to journal, visualize, or simply witness what they're holding. Sound bowls, chanting, or ambient music may accompany the experience. The ceremony concludes with a moment of collective silence and gratitude. Guests often feel lighter, renewed, and connected to a larger lunar cycle.

Perfect For

Guests interested in lunar cycles and ritual • Anyone drawn to meditation, journaling, or self-reflection • Guests seeking closure, release, or clarity • Those who feel spiritually aligned with seasonal/cyclical living

What to Say

"We do Full Moon Ceremonies here — they're really special. They're timed to the full moon, which is traditionally a time of releasing and letting go. Our instructor guides you through breathwork and reflection, and it's a beautiful way to mark that energy with intention. A lot of guests feel really clear and renewed afterward. Are you someone who feels connected to the moon or lunar cycles?"

What It Is

A New Moon Ceremony honors the dark moon — a time of new beginnings, intention-setting, and planting seeds for the lunar cycle ahead. Guests gather for a guided group experience that may include meditation, breathwork, journaling prompts, sound healing, and ritual. Unlike the full moon (which invites release), the new moon is about clarity, commitment, and moving toward what you desire.

What Guests Experience

Guests arrive and settle into a quiet, contemplative space. The facilitator guides them inward through meditation or breathwork, then often offers journaling prompts to help clarify intentions for the coming month. Sound bowls, soft music, or chanting may support the journey. The ceremony closes with a grounding ritual, often inviting guests to speak or affirm their intentions aloud. Many guests leave with renewed sense of purpose and direction.

Perfect For

Guests starting a new chapter or project • Anyone interested in goal-setting and intention • Those drawn to cyclical living and natural rhythms • Guests seeking clarity and forward momentum

What to Say

"If you like the idea of the full moon ceremony, we also do New Moon Ceremonies — they're the opposite energy. The new moon is about planting seeds and setting intentions for the month ahead. It's really powerful if you're working toward something or you want to get clear on your goals. You meditate, you journal, and you get to really tune in to what you want to create."

What It Is

A Reiki Sound Bath combines two powerful healing modalities in one experience. Guests lie in a relaxed position while our certified Reiki practitioner works with universal life force energy to clear and balance their energetic field. Simultaneously, our meditation instructor plays crystal singing bowls, infusing the experience with vibration and sound. The result is a deeply layered, multi-sensory healing journey.

What Guests Experience

Guests lie on a mat in the quiet dome. They feel the gentle, non-physical presence of Reiki energy work (which some describe as warmth, tingling, or subtle movement) combined with the enveloping vibrations of the singing bowls. The dual modality creates a profound state of relaxation and energetic healing. Many guests report feeling clearer, more energized, deeply peaceful, or emotionally released. It's often described as the most complete restoration experience available.

Perfect For

Guests already familiar with Reiki or energy work • Anyone seeking deeper healing beyond sound alone • Guests with emotional or energetic heaviness • Those wanting a premium, immersive wellness experience

What to Say

"We have a Reiki Sound Bath, which is one of our most transformative experiences. You get Reiki energy work and crystal singing bowls at the same time — so you're getting cleared and healed on an energetic level while the sound is flowing through you. It's pretty incredible. People often feel like they've had a complete reset after. Have you done Reiki before, or is this something you've been curious about?"

What It Is

Solstice Ceremonies honor the turning of the seasons — the Winter Solstice (December, the year's longest night and shortest day) and the Summer Solstice (June, the longest day and shortest night). These ancient, earth-rooted ceremonies mark profound shifts in light and energy. Our instructor leads a grounding, intentional group experience that may include sound healing, breathwork, ritual, journaling, and reflection on themes of darkness, light, renewal, and balance.

What Guests Experience

Guests gather in the dome to honor nature's turning points. The facilitator may guide them through a journey honoring the current season — for example, at the Winter Solstice, inviting guests to sit with the darkness before the light returns; at Summer Solstice, celebrating fullness and radiance. Sound bowls, chanting, candles, or seasonal elements often accompany the ceremony. Guests leave feeling grounded, connected to natural cycles, and often inspired by the solstice's theme.

Perfect For

Guests drawn to nature and seasonal living • Eco-conscious, nature-based spiritual practitioners • Anyone wanting to mark seasonal transitions intentionally • Guests seeking grounding and connection to earth cycles

What to Say

"We do Solstice Ceremonies twice a year — Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice. They're really grounding. You gather with a small group and our instructor leads you through a ceremony honoring that seasonal moment — the longest night or the longest day. It's beautiful if you feel connected to nature or you want a more intentional way to mark the seasons. Very earthy, very meaningful."

How to Find & Share the Schedule

PALOMA publishes the dome class schedule at least one month in advance. All dome events are booked through Zenoti, under the Class tab — the same booking system you use for other classes. Here's how to navigate and promote it.

Navigate to the Class Tab in Zenoti

  1. Log in to Zenoti at your front desk computer.
  2. Click on the Class tab in the main navigation menu.
  3. You will see a list of all upcoming classes, organized by date.
  4. Scroll to find dome experiences (they will be labeled with event name, date, time, and instructor).
  5. Look for availability indicator — you'll see the number of open spots remaining.

Weaving the Dome into Guest Conversation

The goal is to mention the dome naturally, warmly, and authentically — not as a hard sell, but as a genuine recommendation. Here are moments when it's perfect to bring it up:

During Check-In

"While I'm getting you set up, I wanted to let you know — if you're interested in wellness or meditation, we have some beautiful dome experiences coming up. [Brief description of upcoming event] Would you like me to pull up the schedule?"

During Checkout (Guest Looks Relaxed)

"You look so peaceful right now. We have a Sound Bath next week if you ever want to go even deeper with that feeling. It's one of the most restorative things we offer."

If Guest Mentions Stress or Sleep Issues

"A lot of our guests with stress or sleep troubles find our Sound Baths really helpful. It's only an hour, and the nervous system reset is pretty profound. We have one coming up [date] if you're interested."

If Guest Mentions Meditation or Spiritual Practice

"Oh, you meditate? You might really love our Moon Ceremonies or Solstice Ceremonies. They're led by our instructors and they're deeply intentional. Very much aligned with what you're doing on your own."

How to Book a Guest into a Dome Class (from Front Desk)

  1. Once the guest has expressed interest, navigate to the Class tab and select the specific dome event.
  2. Click on the event to view details and see the roster.
  3. Look for an "Add Guest" or "Book" button (exact terminology may vary in your Zenoti version).
  4. Select the guest's name from the client database, or create a new booking if they're not yet in the system.
  5. Confirm the date, time, and any special notes (e.g., first-time attendee, modifications needed).
  6. Process payment through the standard Zenoti checkout (guest can pay via card or account credit).
  7. Confirm the booking and send a confirmation email/text with event details.
  8. Mark on your front desk calendar so you can greet the guest warmly when they arrive.

Pro Tip: If a dome class is full, offer the guest the next available date or ask if they'd like to be added to a waitlist. Always emphasize how much the experience is worth the wait.

Talking About The Dome — Guest Scripts

Below are scripts for common front-desk scenarios. Use these as templates — adapt them to your voice and the specific guest in front of you. The key is warmth, authenticity, and genuine enthusiasm.

Scenario 1: Guest Asks "What Goes On in the Dome?"

Guest Question:

"What exactly happens in the dome? Is it like a yoga class?"

Your Response:

"Great question! The dome is our group wellness space, and we host several different experiences there. They're not like a traditional yoga class — they're more meditative and ceremonial. For example, we do Sound Baths where you lie down completely relaxed and our instructor plays these beautiful crystal bowls. The vibrations move through your whole body and it's incredibly peaceful. We also do Moon Ceremonies, where we gather to set intentions or release things in alignment with the lunar cycle. And we have Reiki Sound Baths for deeper energy work. All of them are completely different from what happens in a treatment room — it's about coming together as a community to heal."

Scenario 2: Guest Is Curious but Hesitant ("I've Never Done Anything Like That")

Guest Signal:

Guest mentions they're not sure about "that kind of thing" or asks if they need experience.

Your Response:

"I totally understand — a lot of people feel that way at first! Here's the thing: you literally don't need to do anything or have any experience. For a Sound Bath, you just show up, lie down on a mat, and let the vibrations do the work. You don't have to believe anything or understand anything — your body just receives the healing. Most people who try it for the first time say it's one of the most relaxing things they've ever done. And our instructor is really welcoming to newcomers. A lot of our most devoted dome guests started exactly where you are — curious but hesitant. I'd encourage you to try one and see how your body responds."

Scenario 3: Guest Is Relaxed at Checkout — Proactive Mention

What You Notice:

Guest walks out looking peaceful, grounded, or visibly calm after their treatment.

Your Approach:

"Before you head out, I just want to mention — you look so settled right now. We have a Sound Bath next Thursday evening, and I think you'd really love it. It takes that feeling you have right now and deepens it even more. You'd be lying down in this beautiful, quiet space with these crystal bowls playing, and it's just pure rest. If you're interested, I can pull up the details for you."

Scenario 4: Guest Mentions Meditation or Spiritual Interest

Guest Signal:

Guest mentions they meditate, do yoga, follow lunar cycles, or are interested in energy work.

Your Response:

"Oh, you meditate? You're going to love what we do in the dome. We have New Moon and Full Moon Ceremonies that are really aligned with intention-setting and spiritual practice. A lot of our dome guests are people just like you — they have their own practice and they come to the dome to deepen it with community. And if you're interested in the energy work side of things, our Reiki Sound Baths are incredible. It's like combining individual practice with group healing."

Tone Check: In every script, notice the warmth, the lack of pressure, and the genuine recommendation. You're not selling — you're sharing something you believe in with a guest you genuinely want to serve.

Your Role in the Dome Mission

As front-desk staff, you are the primary ambassador for the dome. Most guests will not discover it on their own — they learn about it through you. This is not an extra responsibility; it is core to your role at PALOMA.

Active Promotion is Expected: You are not being pushy or salespeople when you mention the dome. You are inviting guests into one of PALOMA's most transformative offerings. This is warm, authentic service.

The Mindset

Think of yourself as a trusted guide who knows the terrain of PALOMA's wellness offerings. You understand that:

  • Not every guest is ready for the dome — and that's okay. You read the room and mention it when it feels authentic.
  • Some guests will say no. That's not rejection; it's just the wrong moment. Plant the seed anyway by saying, "If you ever feel curious, come find us."
  • The best promotions come from genuine belief. If you haven't experienced a dome event yourself, ask to attend one. You cannot authentically recommend what you haven't felt.
  • Sharing the dome schedule is not transactional — it's relational. You're deepening the guest's experience at PALOMA and inviting them into community.

Key Talking Points to Carry With You

Memorize these and let them become natural to your language:

  • "The dome is our third pillar — it's where we gather as a community."
  • "You don't need any experience. You just show up and receive."
  • "It's led by our own instructors — people you'll come to know."
  • "The schedule is published a month ahead, so you can plan."
  • "I can book you right now if you're interested."
  • "If you ever feel curious, just let me know."
